Whatever kind of baby shower you are planning to have, there are always suitable games for the type of visitors you have. They can keep themselves entertained playing them while sitting in the living room and waiting for the other invitees to arrive. Games for baby showers can be helpful in finding a good name for the baby. The game may require each player to write as many names as he can for each letter from a to z within a time limit. The number of names may be limited to two or three. Alternatively, flash cards may be used to display letters and the players write down one or two names starting with that letter. Instead of writing, the player may just shout out his answer.

Completing nursery rhymes is an amusing game for baby showers. Games that ask questions concerning baby facts are entertaining and informative at the same time.

Guessing games

Guessing what your opponent has in her bag or his trousers is one very amusing game for baby showers. Each player needs to have a bag or a pair of baggy trousers filled with odds and end to qualify for playing. They both take turns guessing what the other has in his/her bag or trousers. The manner of playing the game can be made very exciting by including penalties every time a guess is wrong.

Make Your Own Games Up

You may also have your own ideas made into a game if you can design it so it can be played with a sheet of paper. There are sites on the internet who might be willing to do the graphics and printout for you. They will be glad to do that, possibly for free, if your idea is good enough and you allow them to resell it.

If you choose, you can do your own artistic design for the game and print it at home. Just make sure you have enough colored ink for the whole set.

Before a night out, it’s always great to play a few drinking games to get you in the mood for partying. These games help you learn things about your friends (especially who is a lightweight), they provide a great amount of laughs and, most importantly, they get you drunk. The best drinking games are the ones that make time pass quickly, and when you suddenly stand up you realise how much you’ve truly drank. While there are countless drinking games out there, a few are favourites and should be played in your lifetime at least once.

Kings or Kings Cup is possibly one of the most well-known games in the history of drinking games. All you need is a deck of cards, a massive cup for the middle, and a group of awesome people to play with. Basically, how the game works is this: each card represents a different thing, such as drawing a 6 which means that all the men drink.

These rules can be found on Wikipedia, or you can create your own rules. However, one rule remains consistent: If you draw a King, you have to empty your drink into the “Kings Cup”, and whoever draws the 4th King has to drink the entire contents of this cup. This game is great as a way to drink, drink and drink, and be warned: Whoever gets the Kings Cup, you will definitely get completely trashed.

Also equally well known is Never Have I Ever… or I Have Never…This is not only a great drinking game, it’s a great way to bond with your friends and here crazy stories that you would have never known otherwise. It’s also easy to play anywhere because you don’t need equipment, or to produce a deck of cards from thin air. The game consists of turns: one person says “Never have I ever…” and then says something outrageous like “gone skinny dipping”.

If another member of the group has done this, they have to put up their hand, tell the story of what happened, and then drink. This game probably isn’t the best to get you drunk, but trust me: it’s a blast to play, and learning embarrassing things about your friends is going to last a lot longer than a night of alcohol.

My personal favourite (because it’s the first drinking game I’ve ever played) is Who’s Got The Peg? This game is just pure hilariousness, mixed with pressure. All you need is a peg, and a person to start. The person who has the peg attaches it to someone else’s clothing and waits a while before beginning to count down from 10 to 1 (Generally, everyone else who has seen who the peg is attached to joins in this countdown). The person who the peg is attached to must find it before the countdown finishes, otherwise they have to scull their entire drink, or do a shot. The more drunk people get, the less ability they have to find the peg, therefore they get even more drunk…The perfect mathematical equation, in other words.

There are plenty more drinking games before you head out to the bars and nightclubs, but these are three that should be played at least once. Regardless of who you’re with, or where you are, playing these games will ensure that you have a great night…Just remember to get a lot of embarrassing stories out of your friends while you’re at it!
